Accessing the Marketplace

To begin, navigate to the Marketplace section in your main menu. This is where you can manage advertisers, demand tags, and more.

Advertisers Overview

In the Advertisers tab, you will find a comprehensive list of all your connected advertisers along with their key performance metrics. This allows you to monitor and optimize your advertisers efficiently.

Click on any advertiser to access in-depth performance data (including comparison to yesterday and same day last week!), available demand tags, and their overview.

Creating a New Advertiser

To add a new advertiser, click the + Advertiser button located at the top right of the Advertisers screen. You will need to link the new advertiser to a demand account (typically under your company’s name). Multiple advertisers can be associated with the same demand account.

  • Geo-targeting can also be configured at the advertiser level.

Demand Tags

To create or manage demand tags, head to the Demand Tags tab next to the Advertisers tab or enter a specific advertiser to view their demand tags.

Click on any demand tag to view its data and adjust settings like supply tag connections, header bidding, targeting, frequency, pricing, and budgeting..

Connecting Supply Tags

To link a supply tag, click the + Supply Tag button in the right part of your screen. A list of available supply tags will be displayed for easy connection to your demand tags.

Creating a New Demand tag

To create a new demand tag, navigate to the Advertiser screen, under the Demand Tags section, click on + Demand Tag and start the journey.

Settings Tab: Define the following:

  • Name: Assign an indicative name that includes the buyer/SSP and targeted site.

  • Format: Choose between Video or Display traffic. This selection will affect the list of available HB Adapters and supply tags.

  • Type - Select one of the following tag types:

    • Tag - Insert a VAST tag URL and append relevant macros from our supported list of macros. For setting up a GAM tag please see designated section below.

    • HB - Choose from available HB Adapters/bidders, and configure auction rules with real-time floor price optimization.

    • Direct MP4 - Setup a direct MP4 campaign by upload the file into Anyclip's Studio and set the unique Studio Video ID (can be either Anyclip's Video ID or your own GUID).

  • Priority - Set the tag priority to either:

    • 1st Look: Prioritized across all waterfalls.

    • Open Auction: Competes with other demand tags and Anyclip's demand.

  • Timeout - Configure a timeout per demand tag (recommended to set it at 20000).

Pricing Tab: you would need to define the rate of the tag accordingly:

  • For Tag or Direct MP4 type - set Fixed RPM and enter the RPM rate that you are expected to receive from your demand partner.

  • For HB type you have two options:

    • The most common would be to leave this tab empty - as bidders are paying a dynamic bid that is changed per impression. We will take the actual clearing price and present it to you in the in depth performance table.

    • If you would like to override the actual bid for your reporting purposes you should place a fixed RPM rate that will be append to each of the impressions delivered by this demand tag.

Targeting Tab: it's time to play around with our targeting options. Most of them are self explanatories but it worth focusing on two of them:

  • Viewability - Choose whether the demand tag should serve only when the player is in view or also when it’s not.

    • In case you choose both - you can use our cool "Viewability targeting" threshold that will make sure that your demand tag will maintain the specific viewability threshold of your choice.

  • Key Value Targeting - Target specific key-value parameters passed through the player.

    • You can work with your AM to pickup certain custom values from your page, or pass targetable values yourself using the data-kv embed code parameter .

    • To streamline your workflow when working with large lists of values, you can upload a CSV or manually created list of key values directly to your main Targeting tab. This list can then be used when creating new Demand tags, simplifying the setup process.

Additional Tabs: Define request/impression frequency caps and set impressions budgets

GAM Demand Tag Setup

When setting up a GAM tag, it’s recommended to duplicate an existing tag and adjust the necessary parameters. For first-time setups, work with your Account Manager to ensure proper configuration.

GAM Video Ad Tag

A GAM Video demand tag can be configured as either HB or Tag, accordingly:

  • HB: Tag will Compete with other demand sources. Anyclip will automatically utilize an automatic process to compare GAM's rates with the winning HB bid.

    • You will find two options for GAM under the HB platforms:

      • GAM (Google Ad Manager) HB - which should be utilized only in case you completed the GAM Key Value integration with the help of your AM.

      • GAM - Fixed rate - Which should be utilized in case you don't have an active GAM Key Value integration with Anyclip.

  • Tag: Tag will be Called separately from other demand.

Insert the Google Publisher Tag into the URL box and append the relevant macros. For GAM HB, add the HB_PB parameter into Google’s cust_params, for example:

https://pubads.g.doubleclick.net/gampad/ads?iu=/5555/video/incontent_video/smartphone/Anyclip&description_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.xyz.com&tfcd=0&npa=0&sz=400x300|640x480|1280x720|1920x1080&max_ad_duration=$[max_d]&gdfp_req=1&output=vast&unviewed_position_start=1&env=vp&impl=s&correlator=$[cb]&ord=$[cb]&vpa=auto&vpmute=1&url=$[url]&gdpr_consent=$[consent]_755&gdpr=$[gdpr]&cust_params=domainname=$[dom]%26hb_pb_anyclip%3D$[hb_pb]

GAM Display Ad Tag

Set this a Display GAM tag only as Tag, and input the full Ad-Slot ID into the Ad-Server URL box. For example:

/23219322/iac.dicty/ser/serp_display

Pricing for GAM Tags

If you’ve integrated Google API Automatic Rate Update select Dynamic RPM Update and fill the relevant details accordingly:

  • Source: GAM

  • Seat ID: your GAM seat ID

  • Type: Adunit

  • Ad Unit ID: unique numerical ID of your Ad Unit

Otherwise, choose Fixed RPM and enter the desired rate.

Duplicating Demand Tags

In order to streamline the process you can easily duplicate an existing Demand Tag under the same Advertiser. In this case all the settings of the previous tags will be duplicated, including the name (which will get the prefix "Copy_of_") and the connected supply tags.

You can then go ahead and change specific fields and adjust the tag name.

Duplicating a demand tag can be done in two manners:

  1. Go to the Settings tab of a tag and click the Duplicate button

  2. Scroll to the right of the Demand Tags KPI table under a specific advertiser and click the duplicate icon.
