AI Workbench New Shiny Tools: Transcriptions

Our top-notch speech to text AI and over 50 languages available for translation finally got a place they deserve – in the convenient AI Workbench Transcriptions module.

Use it to generate a transcript in the original language of the video if the video doesn’t have one, or to translate that transcript into German or Chinese, French or Hindi, or any number of other languages from all around the world.

AI Translation would create a closed captions track in the language that you chose, preserving all timestamps. This new CC track will immediately become available for the viewers.

Video transcriptions in all languages are available in the AI Workbench – Transcriptions section.

The One Where Chapter Descriptions Get A Trim

While we keep telling our robots to keep chapter descriptions short and on point, sometimes you still need to collapse the chapter description for that extra space. Which you can now do with “Show more” and “Show less” buttons appearing in the Chapters section of the Watch automatically.

The “Soon” is Now

In our recent update regarding Video Versioning support via Gateway we’ve promised to deliver MRSS support soon. Well, here it comes! Use videoVersion attribute with a single alphabet letter to identify the version you’re attempting to upload.

Your Revenue Streams, Streamlined

Monetization dashboard now provides data not only on your video ads, but on display ads too, and a combined view for extra convenience.

Understandably, not all of our extensive ad performance metrics can be applied to the display ad type, but the revenue is there, and filtering by demand source should provide even more data.

Please note that Devices and Top Countries are now only rated by revenue.

Please take this opportunity to start using Monetization dashboard if you are working with video monetization, because we will soon switch off the previously available Ad Performance dashboard. We are grateful for its years of service, but, unlike Monetization, it just doesn't spark joy anymore.

Team Performance

Content performance is a team sport, so in the Video Performance dashboard we are now providing the option to review your content performance not only by video, but by any content organisation unit like Hub, Watch, or Channel.

You will see the same stats like number of views, attention span, or engagement rate, and the same Top-20 ranking that you can sort by different criteria.

This dashboard has also got an “Include archived videos” switch that will add or remove data concerning currently archived videos into the general calculation.

Finally, for periods within the last 30 days you will see daily or hourly aggregations instead of weekly. Weekly aggregations are still available for periods longer than the last 30 days.
