filter:easy

“Custom Tags” search filter in Studio now supports “category:tag” mask when you’re looking for a value to select. In this mask, “category” is an exact name of your custom tag category, “:” is a separator between category and tag, and “tag” is your search request within the provided category. For example, your input “cities:k” will return a list of custom tags from the “Cities” category that have a letter “k” in them.

Do you want Chips with your search?

If Chips are disabled for the Search page, Chips filtering criteria will not apply to the search results, even if the search was run from a page where Chips were enabled and used. If Chips are enabled for the Search page, and the user has selected some Chip before searching, Chip filtering criteria still apply to the results.

AnyClip Watch in Microsoft SharePoint

We’ve updated and validated our Watch plugin in SharePoint. You can now define some more parameters for your Watches embedded in the SharePoint pages.

Let the browser check the spelling

We have enabled spell check features in the comments section of the Watches. The spell checking is done by the users’ browsers or other tools they might use.

User sync for Display monetization

Utilizing our player to also monetize display banners? Good! Now the performance would become even better as the robust AnyClip User-Sync tool as been enabled by default for Display as well.

Added stable class CSS to more elements in Watch

Particularly, to the filter buttons like “Time”, “Duration”, our recently added “Language” filter, and to the “Back” button.

Fixed a rare issue with some HLS videos

Turns out, in very rare cases HLS videos in less-used resolutions like 480x270px were visibly squeeeeezed on upload. We tracked this bug and squeezed it instead, until there was no more bug.

Fixed closed captions behavior in iOS “picture in picture” mode

Previously, the closed captions track from AnyClip player sometimes overlapped the native “picture in picture” player. From now on, captions will stay where they belong – in the AnyClip player only.

Room for error

Before, we clumsily truncated the error text in the Live Events setup page, and some of the error messages were unreadable as a result. Sorry! There should be enough space now.
