AnyClip Player SharePoint WebPart
Updated over a week ago

AnyClip allows its customers who run on SharePoint environments to easily embed videos and playlists of the AnyClip Platform into their SharePoint pages as a section on an existing page.

To embed a video or playlist existing in AnyClip Studio into your SharePoint environment, add the AnyClip Player Web Part to your SharePoint environment from Microsoft AppSource

After successfully adding the WebPart to your SharePoint instance, users (page editors) can use it to add AnyClip platform videos to their SharePoint pages.

To add an AnyClip Player as a component on a page, open your SharePoint page for editing, click on the (+) icon to add a new WebPart, and select the AnyClip Player web part (you will need to search for it when using it for the first time).

After adding the Web Part, click on the Embed Video button:

The Embed Player dialog will open in the SharePoint right pane -

Paste you AnyClip embed code in the text box and your video will be immediately rendered on the SharePoint page:

Save and publish the page and ensure that AnyClip Player appears there.

Web Part configuration

AnyClip embed code mentioned above is mandatory to render the web part. It may be used on many SharePoint pages and it will deliver the same content with the same appearance.

However, SharePoint editors can adjust to customize the video content or player appearance while utilizing the same embed code. These optional attributes include:

  1. SharePoint ID / GUID: This attribute serves as a unique identifier for the video to be played. Editors can specify a particular video by its SharePoint ID or GUID, which can be obtained from the AnyClip Studio Video GUID attribute. For videos imported from SharePoint, this attribute is automatically set to the SharePoint video identifier.

  2. Autoplay: Determines whether the video should start playing automatically when the page opens. Editors can choose to enable or disable autoplay as per their preference.

  3. Sound On: Specifies whether the video should start playing with sound enabled or muted. Editors can control the initial sound setting for the video playback.

  4. Aspect Ratio: Defines the player's aspect ratio, influencing how the video is displayed within the player frame. Editors can adjust this attribute to ensure the desired visual presentation.

  5. Frame Width and Frame Height: Sets the width and height of the WebPart iframe where the video player is embedded. Editors can customize the dimensions of the player frame to fit the layout and design of the SharePoint page.

Overall, these optional attributes provide flexibility for SharePoint editors to tailor the video content and player appearance according to their specific requirements while utilizing the provided AnyClip embed code.
