User Management
Updated over a week ago

User management capabilities are an important feature within the AnyClip Platform for managing users and guaranteeing security, traceability, and flexibility.

AnyClips User Management functionality provides account administrators with broad functionality to create users, assign user roles, determine which hubs users can see, assign users to departments, reset passwords and activate/deactivate users. In addition, there are bulk actions, and other features important for multiple-user SaaS access and usage.

In order to manage users in the system, an Account Administrator selects the Users option after selecting the Account Settings (Gear) icon in AnyClip's main navigation bar.

The User Management main screen is shown below. Here the administrator can click the +User button to create new users and filter users according to various criteria - username, active/disabled users, departments and roles. Additionally, several users can be selected for bulk actions.

Note that hovering over a particular user row will present the Reset Password icon on the rightmost corner of the row.

Once several users are selected for bulk actions, the administrator can enable/disable 2-factor authentication, activate/deactivate users and reset their passwords

To create a new user click the +User button on the right-hand side of the main User Management screen. The User Details dialogue is presented:

Enter relevant user data in the required fields: First Name, Last Name, Email, Time Zone, Role (permissions), and Hubs.

You can also add optional data such as a Default Hub setting (the hub a user will see by default upon login), the department the user belongs to in the organization and whether 2-Factor authentication and an email invitation are required.

Double-clicking on any user row in the main User Management screen shown above will lead to the User Details in Edit Mode. In Edit mode you can reset the password, change the name, email, time-zone, role, Hubs/Default Hub, Department, de/activate the user and enable/disable 2FA.
