Video Chaptering
Updated over a week ago

Video chaptering allows end users to navigate and get to the relevant chapter(s) on the AnyClip’s Player. The video chapters provide navigation within the player as well as through an API (for external usage). In addition, this feature allows platform users to set/get the video chapters on the AnyClip Studio.

This feature is particularly important when a video is quite long, and you want to highlight or point out a specific section or chapter.

When video chaptering is set up for a video, the chapters are viewable in the player, marked with a white indicator in the video itself. Standing on the indicator shows the name assigned to the chapter, as shown below.

Setting up Video Chaptering Bookmarks

  1. To set up video chapters, navigate to the AnyClip Studio, go to the video for which you wish to set up chapters, and click the ... (ellipsis menu) icon.

  2. From the popup menu, select Video Chapters.

This opens the Video Chapters tab under the video.

  3. Move the slider to the right to enable video chaptering, and then select +Add Chapter.

  4. In the left hand field, enter the time in the video where you wish to mark a chapter, and then enter a name for that chapter. This will appear in the video when you stand on that chapter.

  5. Click the checkmark to add the new chapter.

  6. Continue to add more chapters by clicking +Add Chapter and following the steps above.

Note

Video chapters must be shorter than the video length itself. You can set as many video chapters as needed.

You can only add one video chapter per time slot in the video (if you try to add another you will receive an error message).
