What’s New June 2022

New ‘Video’ Tab

We are now merging what was once the ‘Manage Video’ and ‘Manage Watch’ tab into one interface—the ‘Video’ tab. Users will now be able to manage and edit their video playlists and Watch pages under a single tab!

Once you are in the Video tab, you will see the ‘Playlist’ and ‘Watch’ pane on the right-hand side of the dashboard. Select the ‘Playlist’ pane to manage your video playlists; the ‘Watch’ pane is where you can manage all your Watch pages.

Directly edit your videos from your Watch

We’ve now added an ‘Edit’ icon at the bottom right corner of every video on the Watch page so that ‘owners’ and ‘admins’ can easily edit the exact video when they need it. This ‘Edit’ button will direct users to the “Manage Videos” tab and are able to edit videos as needed—trim, supplement multilanguage closed captions, apply additional tags to expand keyword search terms, and more. Eliminate the hassle of toggling between the ‘Watch’ and ‘Manage Watch’ page to find the exact content and simply edit as you go.

Edit your video ‘Source’ to modulate the level of analysis

You may remember, when you first set up your account, that it is possible to use different analysis criteria depending on how your video was uploaded to the platform (i.e - the Source). For example, you may have chosen that all videos imported from the YouTube Source would have all available analyses run, including brand safety, people, brands, IAB, and keywords. However, all videos from the Zoom Connector source may have only been analyzed by speech recognition and OCR, to avoid cluttering the backend with extraneous tags.

Now account admins and editors can manually change the ‘Source’ of the video to trigger a different set of algorithms. Perhaps you have a Zoom webinar you now want to analyze for references to brands, for example.

Follow these steps to change the source of a video:

  1. Select the ‘Manage Watch’ tab

  2. Search and select the video that you wish to edit.

  3. You will find the ‘source’ dropdown menu to the right of the video and select the new Source.

  4. Now your video will automatically be analyzed based on the criteria linked to the newly selected Source.

New ‘In-Video Comment’ thread view

When watching an internal video, employees are able to collaborate with each other through the ‘Comments’ tab. At a specific time frame, employees can give feedback, ask any questions by directly tagging a colleague (@name), or select ‘reply’ to engage in a thread. In order to make it easier to follow a thread of comments, we’ve added a light blue frame to group a thread of comments, making it easier to identify conversations!
