New Transcript Preview Window - Generate, Translate, Search
Captions make video searchable and accessible moment-by-moment, but sometimes you need to see the entire block of text at once instead of one line at a time. The new Transcript Preview window makes it easy to review full video transcripts side-by-side with your video, without having to press play. Review content at a glance, easily identify the full context of a searched-for term in a phrase or scene and follow along using the video transcript, frame by frame.
To open your Transcript Preview Window:
Click any video within your Watch page
To the right of your player, select the ‘Transcript tab’ next to the ‘playlist’
The Transcript Preview Window search bar gives you another way to search for specific words and phrases, displaying the results in context. Even better, you’re not limited to searching in the original language of the video. Take advantage of automated translations into over 160+ languages, and then search in those languages for your desired terms. Viewers from around the world can search for keywords in their native languages for a localized user experience.
To search in a different language, simply choose a new language from the drop-down menu next to the search bar.
So whether you have to find, edit, organize, or share your local or global content, the Transcript Preview Window makes videos more easily searchable, accessible, and convenient.
