Personal Settings
Updated over a week ago

AnyClip provides users a personal zone where they can automate processes that govern how videos they own and or uploaded to the platform are saved and where they are saved/with whom they are shared. This empowers users by organizing videos automatically and making sure there is no "video junkyard" where videos get lost in the platform. This ordering mechanism is implemented through rules which the user sets in the Personal Settings zone.

Users can create one rule to govern where/with whom their videos are stored and shared or multiple rules as long as the rules are unique.

To access and set rules in the Personal Settings zone do the following:

  1. Click your username initials on the lower left-hand side of the navigation bar and then select Personal Settings

  2. In the Personal Settings, screen select Create New Rule

  3. Add the Rule title and then select the first dropdown menu to set what type of videos the rule applies to. These rules apply to all videos the user owns or hosts. The options are:

    • All my videos - this rule will apply to all the videos.

    • My Videos with one or more labels - this rule will apply to a video with a specific label

    • My Videos with one or more words - this rule with apply if a certain word is in a video title

    • My Videos from Source - this rule will apply if videos originate in a certain source i.e Zoom, MS Teams, Youtube, etc

    • Note you can select any or all of the criteria above within one rule so that for example, all videos with label x, AND OR with title y AND source z will be selected (see the screenshot example below).

  4. In addition to selecting which videos a rule will apply, users can select with whom a video should be shared and to which hubs they should be added:

  5. The Share With dropdown allows users to choose people or hubs they can share the videos with:

  6. Once you've decided on the criteria for the rule, save it and it will be applied to any video that meets the criteria. Note that you can also search for rules in the main Personal Settings shown above and edit/delete them when necessary.

Note

In the rule example shown in step 4 above there is a logical AND and logical OR relationship between rule elements separated by a + sign. In this example, the rule will apply to "my" (i.e. the user's) videos with the word "Anyclip" AND videos retrieved from Zoom OR videos with the word "demo".
