Set up a Microsoft Teams Source
Set up a Microsoft Teams Source
Updated over a year ago

To set up an MS Teams source on your account, log in as an Account Admin user.

  1. Click Account > Sources. This displays the list of sources that have already been set. In the example image below, no source has been set. MS Teams will be the first source.

If in your account other sources have already been set up, you can filter the list of sources by status by selecting the Status popup and selecting from the available statuses: Active, Archived, or Disconnected.

  2. Click +Source to add a new source. You will see an option to add a Microsoft Teams Source. Choosing this option will result in the following dialogue window:

  3. Click Connect to Microsoft Teams. You will be directed to the MS Teams login page. Upon entering the correct login credentials the connection is made.

  4. If this is the first time you are logging into MS Teams in your organization, the following MS Teams screen will appear informing you of various permission required by MS Teams:

Once the MS Teams account has been connected as an AnyClip source the following confirmation appears (see the Authorization field below).

  5. Once the connection to MS Teams has been verified, enter the following details for the source:

    1. Display Name - the MS Teams source (required)

    2. Language - select a language from the dropdown list (English is the default).

    3. Import Participants Names - when this toggle is enabled, the system imports the full names of all the MS Teams meeting participants' names.

    4. Access Levels - by default, only the video owner and users the owner chooses can watch the video. An AnyClip internal Admin. can change this.

    5. Video Owner - the host of the meeting

    6. Automatically Create a User - when this toggle is on, meeting hosts who are not users in AnyClip, will be added as users in the platform. By default, this toggle is disabled.

    7. Auto Import - analyzes and imports the video to AnyClip.

  1. Once the procedure above is complete the MS Teams Source will appear in the list of sources:

    MSTeams5.png
  2. From this point on AnyClip users can go ahead and plan MS Teams meetings and recurring MS Teams events using the MS Teams Calendar or through a peer-to-peer call. AnyClip will do the rest by uploading meeting videos automatically.

  3. When a user sets a meeting in MS Teams, it will be uploaded to this user's AnyClip account under "My Videos". If you enabled the toggle Automatically Create User , (see Step 5 above) and if the meeting's host is not already an AnyClip user, he will be added to the system as a user and the meeting video will be private i.e it will not be shared with anyone.

Note

If you are already logged in through MS Azure Single Sign On you may be able to skip the login screen in Step 3 above and connect your MS Teams account without logging in.

Caution

MS Teams saves meeting recordings in two locations depending on how the meeting was initiated. If the meeting was initiated from a particular MS Teams channel, the recording will be saved in a folder called “Recordings” in the organization’s relevant channel folder in OneDrive:

If the meeting was not initiated from a channel but rather through the MS Teams calendar or through a peer-to-peer call, the recording will be uploaded to the meeting host’s “Recordings” folder in OneDrive:

**If you remove the meeting recording from these folders and/or rename the “Recordings” folder, AnyClip will not be able to upload the recording to the Platform**

Disconnecting Microsoft Teams from AnyClip

You can disconnect the Tennent from AnyCLip permanently by clicking the Delete button in Azure Enterprise Applications settings:

Disabling Users from using MS Teams' AnyClip Service

An Azure Account Administrator can disable users from signing into AnyClip's service. In the Azure administration dialogue shown below, selecting NO next to the toggle Enabled for Users to Sign In will disconnect MS Teams as a source of AnyClip. Meeting recordings will not be uploaded to AnyClip. The process can take up to 24 hours.

Choosing Yes next to this toggle after having selected No, will reconnect MS Teams as an AnyClip source and may also take up to 24 hours until users can sign into the service. The AnyClip Account Administrator must ensure that the MS Teams Source is still connected to AnyClip - see Step 4 above.
