Set up a Zoom Source
Updated over a year ago

To set up a Zoom source on your account, log in as an Account Admin.

Note

Installation of the AnyClip Zoom Connector will only be available from AnyClip’s VMS. If you enter directly from the marketplace, you'll see a button Visit site to install. Clicking the button will lead back to the AnyClip VMS.

  1. Click Account > Sources. This displays the list of sources that have already been set.

You can filter the list of sources by status by selecting the Status popup and selecting from the available statuses: Active, Archived, or Disconnected.

  2. Click +Source to add a new source. This displays the Add New Zoom Source window.

  3. Click Connect to Zoom. A popup will appear with the AnyClip Zoom Connector details in the Zoom marketplace.

  4. You'll now need to log in to Zoom (to install any app on the Zoom marketplace requires user login). Click the Sign in to install button. You'll be redirected to a Zoom Sign in page.

    Note

If you're a logged in Zoom account admin, you'll be automatically approved to install apps from the marketplace, and you'll see an Anyclip Zoom Connector page with the Install button (a user without installation permissions will not be able to install the app and the button will be disabled).

Below the Install button, a Pre-approve toggle will be displayed to Zoom admin users, which allows you to select which other users are authorized to install the app.

  5. Click Install. This will redirect to the authorization request page, which shows the following message: "AnyClip is requesting access to your Zoom account” with specifications on which permissions are required.

  6. Once the connection to Zoom has been verified (you'll receive a notification that the connection was successful), enter the following details for the Zoom source:

    1. Display name (required)

    2. Select a language from the dropdown list (English is the default).

    3. To import the full names of all the Zoom participants, toggle the Import Participants Names function to enabled.

      Note

The AnyClip platform will show the participants if the meeting has more than1 participant (in addition to the host).

    4. To delete the recordings from the Zoom Cloud after you've imported them, toggle the Delete from Zoom After Import function to enabled.

      Important

Enabling this option will automatically delete the recorded Zoom sessions from the Zoom Cloud once they've been imported. This will help to reduce amount of information you'll need to store on the cloud.

    5. The Access Level field determines who is allowed to view the video, which will depend on the video's privacy settings. To learn more about AnyClip's access control, see Managing video access control;

      1. Private - If set to Private, the individual who manually uploaded the video, or the host of the meeting whose video was automatically imported to the platform has sole access to the content.

        Note

The video will not be imported if the host of the meeting doesn't have an AnyClip user (with same email address). Therefore, you will need to make sure that the toggle for Automatically create a user field is enabled; see step v. below for details.

      2. Hub - A Hub on the AnyClip platform is a content entity under the account (the entity can be different departments of a business or different content Hub s for a publisher).

If set to Hub , only viewers associated with the Hub can watch the video. If you have multiple Hub s in your organization, you'll need to select which Hub , so that only the users of that Hub will be able to view the video. See Managing video access control for more information.

      3. Syndication - If you want to publish or syndicate your content to websites other than your own, this option makes that possible. Public means that anyone that has an AnyClip account will be able to view the video once it's uploaded.

        Caution

This setting is very permissive, therefore, be careful when using it.

    6. The Video Owner field displays the name of the Zoom meeting host.

    7. Automatically create a user: Zoom recordings will only be imported into the AnyClip platform only if the meeting owner has an AnyClip account. Therefore, in the Automatically create a user field, we recommend you that you toggle the option to automatically create an AnyClip user for meeting hosts that aren't AnyClip users.

    8. In the User Default Hub field, select which Hub should be the default Hub in which the video is shown.

  7. When done, click Save.

Note

The new Zoom source is enabled by default. To pause the automatic import, you can toggle to deactivate the service (you'll be able to change the status in the Source list as needed).

Uninstalling the AnyClip Zoom Connector

To uninstall or to de-authorize the AnyClip Zoom Connector (in compliance with Zoom’s commitment to security and the protection of user data), do the following:

  1. In the Zoom marketplace, click Uninstall. You'll receive a confirmation notice asking you to confirm the deletion of the app.

  2. To allow data retention, select the "Grant App developer consent to retain data?" checkbox and click Uninstall. If you don't agree to have your data retained, it will be deleted automatically within 10 days
