The article explains the customization options available for Watch channel settings, including design, size, colors, and more. The settings allow users to configure the appearance and functionality of each channel, ensuring they match the desired design and branding.
Channel Settings Overview
The Channel Configuration Page includes the following sections (tabs) to set up and customize Watch channels: Channel General, Channel Look and Feel, and Player Page.
Channel General Tab
In the Channel General tab, configure the basic properties of the channel:
Channel Name: Set the name of the channel.
Description: Add a brief description to describe the channel’s content or purpose.
Channel Look and Feel Tab
In the Channel Look and Feel tab, customize the visual design of the channel:
Design:
Select the design style for the channel. The following screenshots were taken from anyclip.com site for each type of channel:Standard: Displays a horizontal layout with video thumbnails only.
With Background: Displays a horizontal layout with video thumbnails and a background color.
Inline Player: Displays a horizontal layout where the current video preview is shown as the background.
Vertical: Displays video thumbnails in a vertical layout.
The Player page for vertical channel also appears differently on mobile and desktop devices
On mobile devices, clicking a thumbnail opens the video in full-screen mode.
On desktop devices, clicking a thumbnail opens the video in a pop-up window.
Channel Size:
Select the size of the channel (Medium or Large).For mobile devices, the Inline Player design will serve as a fallback for the Standard Design.
Background:
If With Background is selected, set the Channel Background color.
Use the color picker or specify the color using RGBA, HEX, or HSLA values.
Logo:
Upload a logo to appear on the left side of the channel.
Set the Logo Background Color using the color picker or by specifying RGBA, HEX, or HSLA values.
Font Colors:
Customize the font colors for the following channel text elements:
Title
Description
Video Titles
Video Information
Use the color picker or specify the color using RGBA, HEX, or HSLA values.
Player Page Tab
In the Player Page tab, customize the appearance and functionality of the video player:
Font Size and Colors:
Configure the font size and color for the player page’s text elements.
Use the color picker or specify the color using RGBA, HEX, or HSLA values.
Default Color Settings:
Adjust the default colors for the player page components to ensure consistency with the channel's overall branding.
