Tag Editor
Updated over a week ago

Tags provide descriptive depth and flexibility in organizing and searching for videos in Hubs and Watches. Tags can also be used as a trigger mechanism for AnyClip Forms or X-Ray Campaigns and utilized in defining filters to populate intelligent Watches that display content based on recent/trending videos. The Tag Editor provides users with a friendly interface to create and deploy tags.

Tags are divided into two main categories:

  • System Tags - tags that are either added automatically by the system after analysis of the video or added manually via the Tag Editor. System Tags are divided into categories: People, Brand Safety, Brands, and *Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and Keywords

  • Custom Tags any tag you add under a particular custom category which you are free to name as you choose. Custom Tags are divided into Custom Tag categories. Custom Tags and their categories can have any descriptive name a user chooses.

Note

* IAB is an organization composed of more than 650 media and technology companies responsible for selling, delivering, and optimizing digital advertising. IAB categories are standard classifications that publishers and brands use to categorize web content and, therefore, improve targeting

Users with editing rights to a video can add and edit tags using the Tag Editor whose main features are presented below:

There are three main controls at the top row of the user interface shown above. From left to right: Select Category Tag Name dropdowns and an Add button.

Creating System Tags

To create System Tags do the following::

Say you want to add a System Tag called Kurt Cobain under the category People. In the Select Category dropdown, choose People. In the Tag Name dropdown select Kurt Cobain.

Note

The values that appear under each System Tag category are pre-determined by AnyClip and cannot be changed by the user other than for the System Tag categories "People" and "Brands". System Tags of the two latter categories can be created by users.

Creating Custom Tags

Custom tags are as the name suggests, any tag you want to define and associate with the video and which does not belong or cannot be found in any of the System Tag categories. To create a Custom Tag proceed as follows:

In the Tag Editor place the cursor in the Select Category dropdown. Write the name of a new Custom Tag category, choose a category color by clicking one of the circle icons and click Create Category. A new Custom Tag category is created

Once the Custom Tag category is created, Choose it in the Select Category dropdown, and create a new Tag by entering its name in the Tag Name dropdown and clicking Add

The dialogue above shows a new Custom Tag "McBurgerKing" under a new "Best Burgers" Custom Category.

To delete Custom Tags from a video hover over the tag and click the X that appears next to it. Deleting all the tags in a Custom Category will also delete the category itself from the video. To delete System Tags do the same.

Note

If a Custom Category is not used anymore, it will be deleted from the Studio automatically within 24 hours.

Tag Selection

Users can find a tag even if they don't remember the tag's category.

When user types the tag name, all tags containing the input appear in the tag drop down with the tags categories in brackets.

Tag Usage and Implementation

Improved Organization and Filtering of Videos

System and Custom tags are used to better organize videos and to allow accurate filtering of videos. When searching for a video, you may choose to include Custom Tags and enter the relevant tag to find a specific video or video category:
