Users can comment on videos. Commenting functionality is similar to that found on other collaborative platforms. The current section describes functionality for creating, sharing, replying, tagging users in comments, and viewing comments with their associated timestamps as the video progresses.
To create a comment simply load the page with the relevant video or playback up to the specific point you want to comment, click on the +Comment button. The comment will be created and then associated with a specific timestamp within the progress bar of the video. This gives users the ability to associate comments with specific time segments of a video accurate to within a hundredth of a second. From a visual perspective, comments are not added chronologically but rather in the order to which they correspond to a particular segment of a video.
As shown in the image above users can click the blue comments icons on the horizontal progress bar below the video or on the comments to the right of the video to view the exact segment in the video to which the comment refers and further interact with users who commented.
Hovering over a comment generates a small Reply link which, when clicked, allows users to reply to a specific comment.
Another facet of comment functionality is the option to tag (mention) other users in the system. Entering the @ symbol in the comment field will open a list that displays users in the organization who can be mentioned in the comment. Once a user in the organization is mentioned, a link to the video/comment will be emailed to them.

Only users with access privileges to the video can be mentioned and will appear in the list of organizational users that can be mentioned
The following options are available with respect to each comment and can be accessed using the vertical three-dot menu on the right-hand side of a comment:
Edit by choosing the Edit option you can edit any comment. Note that only you (the user who wrote the comment) can edit it.
Delete by choosing the Delete option you can Delete any comment. Note that only you (the user who wrote the comment) can Delete it. Note that deleting the first comment in a comment/reply thread deletes the whole thread.
Copy Link to Comment by choosing this option, the link to the comment will be saved to your clipboard. Pasting it in the browser or sending it to a recipient (user in the system) presents the comment and the video.
Note
A video and its comments are a single digital asset. This means that when a video is placed in several hubs or Watches, its comments will appear with it.
