Slides
Updated over a week ago

Slides functionality employs artificial intelligence algorithms that identify slides in a video. The slides are extracted and presented in a dedicated tab next to the video in the AnyClip Watch, thereby freeing users from the need to play back the whole video and wait till each slide appears. Users can then click on any slide and quickly navigate to the specific timestamp in the video where the slide is presented. The entire slide set can be edited; individual slides can be added, renamed, deleted, reordered, etc.

Creating Slides

Slides are not created automatically for all videos. They can be created by the video owner. Once created, any user with access to the Watch in which the video was published, can view the video's slides.

In order to create slides and make them viewable with a particular video, Account Administrators must ensure that the Slides toggle option is turned on in the Watch Settings page (Advanced section):

To create slides, video owners should do the following: click the Videos icon in the left navigation bar, choose a video and select the Slides option in the three-dot action menu:

Click Let's Go on the dialogue that appears.

Slide generation usually lasts between 50-100% of the video duration therefore, for a 40-minute video, the slide generation process should take between 20 to 40 minutes.

Once the process is complete, the video owner will receive a notification via email informing him/her that the slides have been created.

To publish the Slides and view them in the Slides tab next to the video, turn on the Slides toggle shown in the three-dot menu above.

Editing Slides

Once slides have been created for a video, they can be edited. New slides can be added and then inserted with the desired timestamp. Old slides can be deleted. The edited slide presentation in the desired order can then be published to replace the original one created by the system.

In order to edit slides click the Slides menu item which you clicked originally in order to create the slides (see above). The Slides curation page appears:

Here you can perform the following actions:

- Add slides

- Edit slide timestamps

- Rename slides

- Upload your own slides

- Delete slides

- Make slides downloadable in PDF format

- Publish the results

To add a slide click the Add Slide button. The following screen appears:

Slide names are created automatically if a title is identified in the slide. In the screen above users can add and or edit the slide name. Additionally, they can add or edit the slide timestamp.

To delete a slide, change timestamps, change the slide image, etc. click the three-dot menu on the top right corner of the relevant slide:

Once all the changes are made and you are satisfied, click the Publish button in the main Edit screen.

Note

If a slide set has been published and you require additional editing, accessing Slides curation/edit mode and performing any edit function, will remove the slides from the Watch in which they were published. You will then need to re-publish the slides (select Publish) in order to make the slides reappear on the Watch.

Viewing Published Slides in the Watch

Once slides are created/edited and published as described above, users with access to the Watch in which they were published will be able to view them in the Slides Tab and download them in PDF format. Clicking on each slide in this tab will present the slide in its specific timestamp in the video.
