AI Workbench: Thumbnails
Updated this week

Video Thumbnails

The Video Thumbnails feature in AI Workbench allows users to efficiently manage and customize video thumbnails, enhancing visual presentation and discoverability.

Core Functionality

Users have multiple options to generate, select, or upload thumbnails:

  1. AI-Generated Thumbnails

    • Clicking the Thumbnails by AI button initiates an AI-powered thumbnail generation process.

Prerequisite: A video description must be provided before running AI-generated thumbnails.

    • The AI model delivers the following options:

      • Initial Thumbnail – The default thumbnail uploaded with the video.

      • AI-Recommended Frame – A frame automatically selected as the most relevant for the video.

      • Collage Options – A 2-frame or 4-frame collage if the AI detects suitable frames. (This option may not always be available if the AI does not find relevant frames).

  2. Manual Thumbnail Selection

    • Once AI-generated options are available, users can select any thumbnail and click Set as Thumbnail to apply it.

  3. Custom Thumbnail Upload & Selection

    • Users can upload a custom image from local files using the Upload Image option.

    • Users can set a specific video frame as the thumbnail using the Set to Current Frame option.

    • Both options are accessible by hovering over the Thumbnail Preview image.

Publishing Thumbnails

  • Regardless of how a thumbnail is created (AI-generated, manually selected, or uploaded), it must be published to be visible to end users.

  • The Publish action finalizes the selected thumbnail and updates it across all relevant platforms.
